Adam Keeney joined Sanofi in January 2014 and he currently leads the Sanofi Genzyme Business Development teams. This group is responsible for the search, assessment & transactions activities supporting each of Sanofi’s specialty care therapeutic areas, which include Oncology, Immunology, Rare Diseases, Neurology & MS. As chair of the External Investment Committee, Adam oversees the review, prioritization and execution of all external R&D investments, as well as management of the External Research budget. Adam is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Before joining Sanofi, Adam worked at Johnson & Johnson, with his most recent role at the J&J California Innovation Center, in charge of setting the Innovation Center vision, mission, goals and objectives. Prior to this position, Adam held roles of increasing responsibility with the J&J Pharmaceuticals Business Development Group after starting is career at H. Lundbeck A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark. Adam holds a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Nottingham, UK.
