Amy Efantis has more than two decades of public policy, advocacy, and leadership experience in the biopharma industry and the public sector. Currently, she serves as Vice President for Biogen’s Public Policy and Government Affairs efforts from the company’s Washington, D.C. office.
Ms. Efantis spent nine years with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals where she led the company’s Washington-based Government Affairs and Public Policy team as Executive Director and Head of Office. Prior to that, Ms. Efantis served as a Senior Director for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), working with member companies on strategies related to legislation impacting the industry. She spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill serving as Legislative Director for former Alabama Congressman Artur Davis, and as Senior Legislative Assistant for former Wisconsin Congressman Tom Barrett before making the move to the private sector.
Ms. Efantis holds an undergraduate degree in History, Political Science and African Studies, as well as a professional certification in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin.
