Eduardo Cetlin is president of the Amgen Foundation, where he is responsible for setting and executing the global strategic direction for the Foundation. With contributions of over a quarter billion dollars to date, and a visible commitment to evidence-based grantmaking, the Foundation focuses on inspiring the next generation of scientific innovators through an emerging suite of world-class programs and partnerships. Cetlin’s leadership has inspired the Foundation to design and launch several bold new initiatives – with Khan Academy and top universities across the world – elevating Amgen’s impact and profile. As head of philanthropy for Amgen Inc., Cetlin also oversees the company’s U.S. patient assistance programs, which assist low income patients access Amgen medicines at no cost.
Cetlin joined the Amgen Foundation in 2005, and has co-led the building and management of the organization for the last decade. Before joining the Foundation, Cetlin worked at Amgen and General Electric in various finance roles. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil, and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
