Dr. Saxberg provides consulting services to health care companies seeking to apply new technologies to product research & development, product and service marketing, and innovation in both financial and clinical services. Recent topics include advanced analytics on new “big data” resources for pharmaceutical quality, health system cost, and value assessment, as well as diagnostic, therapeutic and payment innovations to support precision medicine. Prior to founding DDO, Dr. Saxberg held several leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, including Vice President, Corporate Staff, Advanced Communications, addressing worldwide policy issues and working with internal and external venture capital resources to develop new opportunities at the intersection of emerging internet and other technologies in healthcare. Earlier in his career, he held positions as Senior Research Scientist and Director of Information Sciences at Eli Lilly. Dr. Saxberg is a management/advisory/review board member for a number of entrepreneurial companies, associations and foundations, including HealthImmune, Science Media, iTel, the Friends of the National Library of Medicine, the Falk Foundation and CPRIT. Dr. Saxberg graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington, Honours B.A./M.A. Cantab. in Physics from Cambridge University, an M.D. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Saxberg was a National Institutes of Health Fellow at MIT from 1989-1991
