Paul Lévesque is the Global President of Pfizer Rare Disease.
Paul brings to the role a wealth of pharmaceutical industry experience. He has consistently demonstrated a track record of success and ability to drive growth while serving in a broad range of leadership roles in different therapeutic areas and diverse geographies including: Asia Pacific/China, Europe, and USA/Canada.
Paul has worked in the research-based pharmaceutical industry since 1985 when he joined Upjohn Canada, moving through various sales and sales training positions. He joined Pfizer Canada in 1992 as a product manager, and progressed to hold a number of marketing positions. In 2000, he became the first Vice President of Marketing for Pfizer Canada and in 2002, moved to Paris to take a similar position with Pfizer France. In January 2007, Paul was named Country Manager of Canada, a position he held until becoming Chief Marketing Officer for the U.S. in Primary Care in 2012. Paul also served as the Regional President for Pfizer’s Primary Care business covering Japan, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Korea (JACK) Region from January 2014 to December 2015.
Paul was also the Global President of the Cardiovascular Metabolic Business within the Global Innovative Pharma business.
Most recently, Paul was the Global Brands Lead, and was responsible for Pfizer Essential Health’s Top 40 brands. He also led the Pfizer Zika Project addressing a public healthcare emergency and he remains consultant of IntraHealth, an American NGO with resources in both Africa and Latin America, doing pro-bono work.
Paul holds a BSc in biochemistry from Laval University, Quebec City, and a Diploma in Management from McGill University, Montreal. Paul is married to Lucie Jean with three children Olivier, Marianne and Vincent.
