Brad Shurdut is currently Vice President of Regulatory and Government Affairs at Intrexon Corporation. In this capacity, he leads global strategies aligned with novel Food and Ag Technologies including genetically modified insects, animals, fruits/ vegetables and crop protection products. Prior to joining Intrexon, Brad spent 27 years at Dow AgroSciences where he held global leadership positions in corporate strategy, regulatory affairs, government affairs, public affairs, risk assessment and R&D. Over the years, he also held numerous industry leadership and Board positions within BIO, CropLife International and the Council for Biotechnology Information where he was a co-founder of the GMO Answers public acceptance initiative. Brad was also appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to the “Agriculture in the 21st Century” federal advisory committee where he served for 6 years. He was also Congressional Fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Agriculture in Washington DC. Brad received a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan, a MSc. degree in Environmental Health from the Harvard University School of Public Health, a Law degree from the Indiana University School of Law and an executive management certificate from the Thunderbird School of International Management.
