Pamela Spence is the leader of the 15,000-member Global Life Sciences team at EY, a role she began in July 2016. Previously, she led EY’s relationships with some of the world’s largest biopharma companies and helped those companies deliver on their strategic objectives. Pamela accomplished this by working with multidisciplinary, multinational teams at EY to identify and implement ways to improve business strategy and operations. Pamela has nearly 20 years of experience working with clients across the life sciences and health care sectors and has held leadership positions in EY’s Transaction Advisory Services. During this time, she led multinational transactions, acquisitions, disposals and IPOs, in addition to holding roles in business development with a focus on the life sciences sector. As global life sciences industry leader, Pamela also serves on EY’s Global Accounts Committee, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the global organization's largest multinational clients across all industry sectors. Throughout her career, Pamela has distinguished herself as a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusiveness. She aims to make healthcare affordable and accessible to all and wants to ensure that globally, we are collectively maximizing the opportunity to continually innovate in research and development. With a background in organic chemistry, and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, UK, Pamela is a qualified chartered accountant and has also attended INSEAD and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Pamela is based in London.
