Alan Kriz has 30 years of experience in the agbiotech sector with Bayer, Monsanto (including DEKALB Genetics and Renessen LLC) , BASF Plant Science, and as a faculty member at the University of Illinois. Most of his career has focused on the discovery, development, and delivery of enhanced grain traits in corn. In addition to managing cross-functional teams across the product development pipeline, he has been responsible for both in-licensing and out-licensing of traits and technologies. In his current role as Strategic Alliance Manager, Traits and Genomics, Bayer Crop Science Division, he is responsible for identification and evaluation of technologies to support the trait portfolio. He also serves as the representative of the Bayer Crop Science Division at Bayer LifeHub Boston. He has authored over 30 scientific papers and is a named inventor on 15 US patents. He has a Ph.D. in Genetics from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Biology from Hiram College.
