The Parkinson’s Foundation believes that the best way to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trials is to ensure that patients are the primary partners in research alongside scientists, government and the pharmaceutical industry.
Although patient engagement is being incorporated more and more into medical practice, there is a lot of uncertainty in how to expand this to the pharmaceutical industry. This panel will include various representatives from the regulatory, pharmaceuitcal and non-profit industries as they highlight some of the best practices learned in collaborating with the pharmaceutical industry and working with patient advocacy organizations to engage patients in drug development research.
