Close to zero - the probability of one company or researcher successfully finding cures for horrible diseases that continue to ravage humanity. To develop therapeutics of the future will require strategic alliances and partnerships across the ecosystem. But how easy is it for a David to partner with an international Goliath? How should the partnerships be built? How should it be structured? Whilst English is the language of business, there are nuances between translation that can impede understanding. How might a small biotech approach a strategic alliance differently when they aren’t interested in being acquired? Doing alliances and partnerships just within one’s own country can be difficult, but when partnerships are of an international nature, they can be even more difficult to execute successfully. The goal of this panel is to provide attendees with a roadmap for how to approach international strategic alliances by bringing together industry stakeholders to share their experiences.
